THE OLD RUGGED CROSS...CELLO DUET (ORIG. ARR.)
This is one of my favorite Country Hymns...it was written by George Bennard and published in 1912...this is my original arrangement for a cello duet...
LYRICS....
On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
The emblem of suff’ring and shame;
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain.
Refrain:
So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown.
I have a piano version (here) and a solo cello version (here) but, wanted to play it also as a cello duet :-)...
I appreciate you listening to my music....please check out the rest of the site and stop back soon :-)
