SLEEPY LITTLE ELEPHANT....
This little verse is read to a variation of my original composition...AN ELEPHANT'S LULLABY(click to listen)....
I recently fostered 2 rescued orphan baby elephants from The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust(DSWT)...KAMOK and ASHAKA....all the photos you see are from DSWT....I was inspired to write the Lullaby from these types of photos from DWST and the verse just happened once the lullaby was completed :-)....I have such high regard for this organization and all the outstanding work they do for elephants...they save so many lives....I am amazed at the care and concern these elephants receive...an elephant has a very sensitive psyche..thus, the security blanket and the ever watchful and caring keepers.....many of these orphans are suffering from grief or physical and emotional trauma....and need constant care and attention.....when I looked at these photos and many others.....I wanted to say the words in this verse to the little orphans.....
SLEEPY LITTLE ELEPHANT
Dear little Elephant...lay your tired head on the fresh straw...and feel the softness of your new blanket ....your keeper is by your side watching over you...
when you awake, there will be a wonderful bottle of milk for you...there will be baths, and lovely walks with other little elephants and there will always be a large ...a very large bottle of milk waiting just for you....
Yes, you are safe now little elephant...no need to fear...close your eyes... and sleep....sleep...

The little orphans taking walks with the caring keepers...
This is my Ashaka drinking one of those large bottles of milk:-)..this is a special formula that was developed by Dame Sheldrick....I have seen several photos of a keeper walking with 2 orphans with one bottle in his hand and one in his pocket :-)...it always brings a smile:-)..she is beautiful isn't she ?.:-)
