PRELUDE 1 ......J.S. BACH
Prelude 1 is from Bach's 6 Suites for Solo Cello....of all the works in the Suites , this is one of my favorites.....the Sarabandes (from the Suites) that are on this site are the others that are near to my heart......
It is said that, for a cellist, playing and interpreting Bach's works is a life long effort.......that certainly is true for me......this piece is one of the 3 that I consider the top of my cello mountain.....but, it is by no means achieved....Bach will always be, like me, a work in progress :-)
