Nocturnes are one of my favorite types of music...they are melodic, emotionally beautiful, and they flow smoothly....they are supposed to depict evening or night..but, really, that is a subjective opinion of the composer :-).....
This is my first Nocturne ..It is written to be played in the romantic style that I am playing it...I wrote it in the key of G as it produced the sounds I "heard" for it.....in today's world of software for composing ....it is easy to hear your composition in other keys and experiment...in Mozart's and the other greats time...they had to work harder :-)....
